The map partitions the 21 million ZEC cap into public supply, shielded balances, and remaining issuance. Public supply groups transparent balances with other issued value; it is a visual grouping, not the transparent pool balance. Other issued is calculated from the same snapshot as chain supply minus transparent and shielded balances. It includes the deferred-development lockbox, which contains already-issued ZEC, not unmined supply. Historical snapshots do not store a separate lockbox balance, so this remainder is not labelled entirely as lockbox. Unmined is the cap minus issued chain supply. Percentages use the 21M cap and may differ slightly from 100% after display rounding. The shielded-supply statistic instead uses issued supply.
Balances come from stored node snapshots and are not refreshed on every block. The timeline excludes records with missing or inconsistent supply totals; it does not substitute current supply for historical data. Public pool aggregates do not reveal individual shielded balances.
Daily pool balances from chain state — stack by pool, split public vs private, or track shielded share over time.
How each value pool grew or shrank — Sprout through Ironwood — from daily chain state.
Shielding means moving ZEC into a private pool. Deshielding means moving it back to a public address. Bars up = into privacy. Bars down = out of privacy.

When ZEC leaves a shielded pool, where does it go — held transparent, reshielded, exchanged, or moved elsewhere?
