- 22% of Orchard's pre-activation balance has moved
Where it came from:
- 85.5% from Orchard (724,727 ZEC — 4,013 txs)
- 8.5% from Transparent (72,153 ZEC — 1,910 txs)
- 6.0% from Sapling (50,939 ZEC — 62 txs)
Who migrated:
- 146 transactions (1K+ ZEC each) account for 92.1% of all volume
- 2,621 transactions were under 1 ZEC — dust-testers and privacy-cautious users
- The median migration was a fraction of 1 ZEC; the mean was 212 ZEC
Milestone — Ironwood > Sapling (July 31): The new pool overtook Sapling's balance in under 72 hours. Sapling was activated in October 2018 — eight years of deposits surpassed in three days. Ironwood is now Zcash's second-largest shielded pool, behind only Orchard.
