Miner Behavior

ZODL leaderboard

How much of their block rewards miners move vs hold. A high sell ratio means miners are liquidating quickly; a low ratio means they're accumulating. But “moved” isn't the same as “sold” — the ZODL leaderboardbreaks each pool's spending down by destination (shielded vs. exchange vs. transparent), and most of it turns out to be shielding, not selling.

About Mining Pool Data

Zcash is secured by Equihash proof-of-work mining with a 75-second block target. Pool attribution is derived from coinbase transaction payout addresses. A single pool may use multiple addresses; unknown addresses are labeled by region when identifiable through peer analysis.

Miner behavior tracks whether coinbase outputs (block rewards) have been spent or remain unspent. A high sell ratio indicates miners are liquidating rewards quickly, while a low ratio suggests accumulation strategies.
